Sunday 14.02.2021 Valentine

Valentines day started with a downpour but opened up to be a beautiful breezy spring day and the park was full of strollers by midday when I went. The river was brown and gushing the banks were covered over and the wetland was in its glory. On land there were mud sprials in the grass, left by the dirt bikes whose riders had also taken to the Glen this open skied morning, after two days of solid rain the grass was mobile on the surface. The sluice gate held a fat satin ribbon in motion, I turned to see S and E had crept up behind me, not wishing to startle a fall. Then P and E out for some air couple’s Spring strolls and Glen pocketsfull of families, full of the joys.
